Housed within a key client’s internal team, this analytically-focused role will report to their Head of Global Sponsorship. This position is responsible for examining the effectiveness of the current/ future sponsorship portfolio by blending cutting-edge technology with strategic thinking. Through this governance work, the role will bolster the client’s ability to use sponsorship as a tool to elevate their brand, support their Lines of Business, engage their colleagues and impact the communities they serve around the world. Also crucially important will be the skill to identify new properties that best align with the client’s macro business purpose and strategy – this identification and elevation process for properties will be made on the global, regional, and local levels.  

Enterprise Sponsorship Process Management 

1.     Reviews, analyzes, and manages all sponsorship acquisition requests and ensures adherence to Sponsorship Policy 

2.     Answer questions regarding policy from across businesses and regions to ensure proper approvals are obtained per the Sponsorship Governance process

3.     Communicate process updates and changes to business key stakeholders 

4.     Act as day to day contact for sponsorship processes around the Enterprise 

Sponsorship Risk & Control 

1.     Act as Subject Matter Expert for Sponsorships across all regions and businesses 

2.     Work to ensure Sponsorship procedures are compliant with finance, expense, legal, risk review, information security, procurement, etc. 

3.     Report and act upon any violations to the Sponsorship process

Governance Reporting 

1.     Ensure Sponsorships are logged in Sponsorship Tracker and appropriate approvals are received prior to entering into contract and payment 

2.     Manage the Sponsorship invoice approver list and payment delegations, review annually

3.     Track and reconcile all Sponsorships within the businesses and regions 

4.     Report on any violations to the Sponsorship Governance Process 

5.     Provide Sponsorship statistics for senior management across the enterprise 


·       Bachelor’s Degree 

·       Minimum of 3+ years of experience in policy/ process management, preferably in a regulated industry or financial services environment 

·       Marketing/ Sponsorship experience strongly preferred 

·       Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, ability to present complex projects concisely 

·       Experience working with payment systems preferred; additional computer skills with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint is mandatory 

·       Self-motivated with proven ability to adapt in an extremely fast paced changing environment 

·       Collaborative and flexible “team player” orientation with a strong international cultural awareness

·       Strong organizational, analytical, and collaboration; clarify key issues in complex situations with an ability to address and alleviate ambiguity with a sense of urgency and decisiveness
