Director of Game Operations and Marketing Coordinator:
A Minor League Hockey Team is seeking a Director of Game Operations and Marketing / Promotional Coordinator.  The Director will manage the planning and execution of home game promotions, in-game content and fan experiences.  The Director will also manage marketing which includes developing unique advertising strategies, community involvement, day-to-day social media, and managing press releases and other online content.

This position will report directly to the team President and will oversee all game day and marketing staff.  Applicants with prior experience in sports and entertainment will be given preference. 
 
Responsibilities:       
  • Responsible for the execution and communication of all in game contests, activities, and events
  • Write and produce all PA and game night scripts
  • Act as producer of live show during home-games
  • Responsible for concourse activities including entertainment and tabling
  • Manage Internship Program - includes recruiting, interviewing and managing interns
  • Game day supervisor to in-game posts, PA announcer, camera operators and other game night crew
  • Work with facility operations staff to ensure proper planning and communication for each event
  • Day-to-day function of  digital media efforts (website, social media)
  • Coordinate marketing efforts with sales team to create custom game ads, sponsorship opportunities and fulfillments, ticketing specials and more
  • Assist in creation and execution of non-game day related special events
  • Press releases as needed for media or league
  • Community outreach efforts as needed
  • Ability to work flexible hours, evenings, weekends, holidays and game nights

 Job Specifics:       
  • Full time
  • Pay commensurate with experience
  • Must relocate to regional area

 Qualifications:
  • 4-5+ years experience in the Sports and Entertainment industry
  • Prior experience with sports and entertainment production and/or event management
  • Prior experience in sports marketing or branding
  • Prior experience with digital marketing and social media management
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Enthusiasm for sports is a plus
