Job Profile Summary

The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) seeks a full-time, Integrated Content Manager/Digital Marketing, Growth Brands Communications, based in Daytona Beach, FL. 

What does this fancy title mean?  We're looking for someone who is a good writer, a good storyteller, strong in video production and someone who has been involved in digital email marketing, social media posts, video posts, website stories - making engaging content - to inspire members of groups ("brands")  who are under the LPGA umbrella to play more, follow more, women's golf.  These groups include speaking to and engaging young, female amateur golfers to women executive golfers.   

This role works closely with the Director, Integrated Communications to elevate the LPGA Foundation brands -- our non-profit that supports junior golf and scholarships, financial assistance, research and golf teaching education --  delivering value for members and sponsors.  The Integrated Content Manager will work within the organization to produce original content for digital platforms to support storytelling leveraging all areas of the LPGA brand ecosystem.  This person will be responsible for conceptualizing, creating, and distributing impact content that drives engagements and conversations around LGPA Women’s Network and LPGA Amateur Association channels.  The position is based out of the LPGA headquarters in Daytona Beach, FL with frequent travel requirements. 

 PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Serve as the primary communications advocate for the LPGA Network and other LPGA Foundation brands
  • Create, edit, distribute, optimize and promote LPGA Foundation content with the goal of growing audience and share

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES 
  • Manage editorial calendar for the LPGA Women’s Network delivering compelling content using current production and web-delivery tools 
  • Supervise content curation overseeing network of contributors, negotiating deals, pitching story ideas, and scheduling distribution across the network 
  • Experiment with new content formats to facilitate publishing on multiple digital, mobile and social platforms 
  • Fulfill partner commitments such as writing features, event recaps, website copy, press releases, and other editing tasks 
  • Oversee web management function in partnership with third-party developers to update video player, digital ad units, user groups, and new pages 
  • Partner with LPGA’s Brand and Communications teams to maintain consistency of brand voice and reach integration goals amplifying content across channels 
  • Drive community engagement by leading social listening efforts to ensure a rapid response to emerging trends/opportunities 
  • Track content performance and monitor consumer feedback and generate insight reports to inform or adjust programming decisions
  • Support other key initiatives for the LPGA as assigned
     
QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Sports Media,  or related field preferred 
  • 3-5 years of experience working in sports; golf background desirable 
  • High energy, self-motivated professional who loves contributing to a team 
  • Audience growth-minded fueled by trend-led concepts and high-quality results 
  • Writer and impactful communicator gifted at storytelling and editing through words and also video
  • Prior experience maintaining a brand, team, or other professional social media's account 
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and web development 
  • Well versed in social media metrics and analytics 
  • Design/photo and video editing skills preferred 
  • Demonstrated initiative, with strong organizational and time management
