Purpose: The Talent Director provides organizational support at Altius Sports Partners (“ASP”) and will be tasked with building talent pipelines for current and future job openings as well as the designing and implementation of recruiting strategies. Responsibilities will include monitoring recruitment procedures, from sourcing to hiring, identifying high-potential candidates, and developing internal practices to maximize retention and enhance company culture. The position will also assist with managing external relationships with ASP HR partners and software vendors and supporting the sustainment of the company’s culture and efficient work environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work directly with ASP executive team to identify, recruit, and hire high-quality prospective candidates to support ASP’s business internally and externally with school clients and partners
  • Proactively engage with members of collegiate athletics, professional sports, and beyond to create a robust talent pipeline for current and future job openings
  • Lead all sourcing strategies and provide detailed insights on prospective candidates based on interest, qualifications, and recommendations for the purpose of ASP and school client hiring needs
  • Maintain a database of prospective candidates while working with external partners, including but not limited to, utilizing search firms and external databases to source talent
  • Evaluate ASP and school partner needs, philosophical approach, leadership styles and job description while working within searches to ensure placement success
  • Create an organizational system and process to track applications, movement, and hires in the industry and for use with future openings
  • Regularly connect with ASP executive team, national organizations, and athletics departments to maintain a pulse on need in the industry and potential candidates
  • Maintain resumes, cover letters, and other applicable items in an organized storing mechanism to be available upon request to ASP executive team and staff
  • Manage ASP external partnerships with HR partners and software vendors and job boards
  • Prepare and review ASP’s annual recruitment budget
  • Oversee all stages of candidate experience (including application, interviews, and communication)
  • Collaborate with the operations coordinator to arrange and assist with the onboarding of new hires
  • Forecast hiring needs based on business growth plans
  • Manage, train and evaluate a team of recruiters as necessary
  • Participate in and host recruitment events to drive ASP awareness in the marketplace
  • Measure key recruitment metrics, like source of hire and time-to-hire
  • Participate in developing a team-based environment to motivate and inspire staff to work collaboratively toward vision and goal
  • Establish mechanisms of employee check-in and evaluation of satisfaction to ensure retention
  • Create team-centric events and initiatives focused on building culture in a remote environment
  • Maintain employee growth and professional development plans in collaboration with appropriate supervisors
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures
  • Maintain highest level of confidentiality, both within organization and with external entities

Deliverables:
  • Active engagement with internal and external ASP stakeholders
  • Accurate, efficient solutions to ASP human capital challenges
  • Oversight of internal recruitment and hiring plans, monthly reports, and accurate records kept for all human capital projects
  • Ongoing feedback and discussion with CEO, COO, and executive team regarding all duties
  • Documented processes and procedures for all areas of responsibility

Successful Candidates Will Exhibit The Following:
  • Proven experience as a Talent Director or similar role
  • Demonstrable experience managing full-cycle recruiting, employer hiring initiatives, and internal retention programs
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and solid understanding of sourcing techniques and tools such as social media platforms (Twitter, LinkedIn)
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs) and HR databases
  • An understanding of the collegiate sports landscape, particularly Name, Image, Likeness, is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail; excellent communication skills; a self-driven yet collaborative working style; voracious curiosity
  • Successful candidates will be self-starters with exceptional organizational skills that will enable them to execute to the ASP standard of excellence
