Ticket Sales and Services: Premium/Suite Sales
The Role:
The Director of Premium Seat Sales is responsible for new business development of premium sales product on a full-season basis.  Additional product responsibilities will include group and hospitality packages as well as other revenue-generating programs as added to the product portfolio. This Chicago based sales position will be responsible for multiple amphitheater sales development.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Actively prospect to new customers via in-person appointments, phone calls, email/prospecting marketing campaigns and networking events to sell full season and group/hospitality ticket packages
  • Meet or exceed specific levels of activity, appointment and revenue goals while exceeding the fan expectation
  • Serve as the venue sales ambassador in the community while partnering with the local Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, Chambers of Commerce, Meeting Planners Associations, and similar type organizations
  • Manage all aspects of the sales and marketing campaign for the local market including sales plans, collateral creation, email campaigns, outbound call management and inventory management 
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with existing customers and annually renewing full season contracts
  • Manage strategy to achieve budget goals as well as operating expense budgets and adhere to budget parameters
  • Responsible for working all shows to network with current and prospective fans to ensure the show experience is exceeding expectations
  • Report directly to the Regional Director with dotted line to the Regional Vice President  
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in sports/entertainment management, business or related field is required
  • Five to ten years direct business to business sales experience, preferably in premium seat sales, sponsorship, media or sports marketing 
  • A proven track record in relationship building and networking skills with ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of an organization
  • Demonstrated dedication with the ability to oversee projects from origin through execution with a sense of urgency, sometimes under a high level of pressure
  • Self-starter and entrepreneurial spirit with hands-on approach towards new business development
  • Highly motivated, naturally assertive, with a positive attitude
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Prior experience with Archtics, Salesforce.com and Exact Target is a plus
