Sponsorship Sales & Activation: Corporate Sponsorship Sales
The Conferences for Women are a group of four Conferences whose mission is to promote, communicate and amplify the influence of women in the workplace and beyond.  The events are part of what has become the largest network of women’s conferences in the United States, which includes the Massachusetts Conference for Women, the Pennsylvania Conference for Women, the Texas Conference for Women and the Watermark Conference for Women Silicon Valley. The combined conferences attract over 45,000 attendees annually. 
 
Each annual conference hosts more than 100 keynote and breakout session speakers and past keynote speakers have included Michelle Obama, Maya Angelou, Serena Williams, Amal Clooney, Meryl Streep, Viola Davis and Sheryl Sandberg. 
 
The Conferences for Women seeks a new Development Director for the Massachusetts and Pennsylvania Conferences, who will work with existing sponsors as well identify and engage new corporations who are committed to developing a diverse workforce. 
 
The selected candidate can live anywhere in the country and will be responsible to identify and target potential corporate sponsors, as well as maintain the significant bench of corporate partners.  This person will be responsible for developing, writing and presenting corporate sponsorships and sales proposals, as well as creating sales collateral or modifying existing collateral.  Once sales are concluded, this person will need to work with other members of the organization in ensuring goals and commitments are being met and enhance any cross-selling opportunities.  
 
The previous individual had been heading corporate sales for an NFL team.  Thus, the ideal candidate is someone who has been responsible for selling sponsorships to events, has a large rolodex of corporate relationships and is used to creating innovative partnerships that are unique and customized to address a sponsors’ needs while maintaining the integrity of the Conference offering.
 
IDEAL CANDIDATE: ESSENTIAL:
A) At least ten years ‘experience in a senior-level sales position—especially with a professional sports team, events or brands.
B) Excellent network of local corporate contacts;
C) Bachelor’s degree;
D) Strong conceptual and strategic skills, and ability to think “outside the box”;
E) Strong customer satisfaction orientation;
F) Proven track record of personal and team achievements, with the ability to “make things happen”;
G) Demonstrated creativity in the development of innovative and effective sales campaigns;
H) Strong project management skills and sales proposal experience;
I) Computer literate;
J) Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required.
K) Travel required to annual conferences, and sponsor summits.

PREFERRED: 
A) Proficiency in using MSWord, Excel and Power Point
