VP, Design & User Research (UXR) 


About the opportunity 

We’re looking for a senior leader to join our Technology team for On Location & IMG Events. 

The VP of Design & UXR defines and cultivates a clear and impactful customer experience vision across product design and UXR for all event products and services. From the Super Bowl to the Olympics, our products and services will shape guest and staff experiences at world class events around the world. This position will report to the SVP of Product, Design & Data and be a key contributor of insights and team leadership on the Technology team.   


In this role, you will… 

Lead the product design strategy and vision 

  • Advise and collaborate with senior directors and leaders on design led thinking, strategy and pathways to achieve business goals. 

  • Direct and maintain the overall design and UXR vision and strategy to achieve successful, memorable, and repeatable experiences for guests, customers and users of our products. 

  • Develop and oversee a framework that elevates and upholds the quality of UX and UI craft in the org. 

  • In strong collaboration with marketing, elevate the experience to be customer centric, and scale to provide a consistent experience across events and experiences. 

Lead people 

  • Cultivate a working climate that keeps people contributing to the vision in their most meaningful way. 

  • Maintain psychological safety and a culture of feedback that uplifts the trust, quality and potential within and around the design team. 

  • Foster an environment of trust and authenticity, internally and externally 

  • Clarify and maintain the design organization’s mandate and purpose as it relates to the business and its customers. 

  • Provide and develop standards for career guidance, upleveling support, hiring and performance management. 

  • Compose and organize and manage the design and UXR teams to maximize efficiency, effectiveness of its work and solutions, and overall wellbeing. 

Lead business goals 

  • Maintain a clear connection from design to value across all aspects of product and across all customer touchpoints 

  • Lead long-term strategic planning to position product design in anticipation of future business conditions, challenges, or unique opportunities and scale to meet those needs 

Lead Operationally 

  • Establish design ops and systems that facilitate unification of platform components under a connected and consistent feel. 

  • Maintain strong relationships with senior leaders (Engineering, Marketing, Data, …) to ensure that design resources and activity are functioning continuously at peak potential. 


Experience we’ll look for in you… 

  • 7+ years leading distributed design teams of at least 8 people producing thoughtful, quality products 

  • 10+ years in designing and shipping quality digital B2C products at scale for web and native platforms 

  • Leadership and management of UX Researchers. 

  • Directing broad design efforts, direction and vision. 

  • Establishing and implementing design standards and systems from an operational standpoint. 

  • Defining and organizing multiple products under a unified design language. 

  • Demonstrated experience shaping strategy and product design in collaboration with product and engineering leaders.

Per local requirements and in the interest of transparency, the range shown below reflects the prevalent current hiring range for this position. Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience.  Endeavor strives to provide locally competitive rewards packages, which include base rate along with, as applicable, short- and long-term incentives, growth and developmental opportunities, and robust benefits, such as health care, retirement, vacation and other paid time off, and additional offerings.

Hiring Range Minimum:

$198,750 annually

Hiring Range Maximum:

$265,000 annually
