USA Water Ski & Wake Sports is affiliated with the International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation (world governing body) and is recognized by the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee and Pan-American Sports Organization as the national governing body of organized water skiing and wakeboarding in the United States. The mission of USA Water Ski & Wake Sports is to advance, support and service all towed water sports through widespread recreational participation, education, promotion and sustained worldwide competitive excellence. 
This position is primarily responsible for all USA Water Ski & Wake Sports’ marketing and promotional activities with a primary focus on member engagement and outreach programs to produce a greater level of participation in towed water sports. This is a multi-faceted position that requires significant creativity coupled with the ability to create and execute marketing campaigns and manage events designed to engage current USA-WSWS members and connect with water sports enthusiasts to maintain and grow USA-WSWS membership. 
Membership Marketing 
Develop outbound marketing campaigns and special events to create awareness for the organization and drive new members 
100th Anniversary of water skiing campaign – work with internal stakeholders and sponsors to develop and execute a marketing campaign to celebrate the 100th anniversary of water skiing in 2022.
Basic Skills Clinics – assist in the transition of program to a new event management system for sanctioning, rosters, reports and event calendar, and oversee the coordination, administration, and promotion/marketing of this program. 
Get on the Water Week – the organization’s marque new member recruitment program offering free learn to ski clinics across the country. Assist in the transition of program to a new event management system for sanctioning, rosters, reports and event calendar, and oversee the development, coordination, and administration of the program. Work with 25+ host clubs from around the country and create an annual recap of the program for the board of directors. 
Girls, Inc. Learn to Ski program – submit the annual grant application and final reporting to the Women’s Sports Foundation and coordinate/develop a summer learn to ski program with local ski clubs in partnership with Girls, Inc. of Lakeland, Fla. and Winter Haven, Fla. Work with partnership services manager on sponsorship deliverables for the program.
Sunshine State Games – coordinate with stakeholders for the Florida Sports Foundation and local clubs to organize and promote Grassroots tournaments as part of the annual Sunshine State Games.
The Water Skier Podcast – Collaborate with communications director and other stakeholders to develop content and create a marketing plan to create awareness of the new podcast (scheduled to launch in 2022).
Create unique ways to bring additional value to existing USA-WSWS members 
PerkSpot membership discount program – work to transition program to single sign-on mthrough our website by setting up SFTP with PerkSpot, and work with PerkSpot on cobranded marketing materials for email campaigns, social media, magazine, and e-newsletters.
USA-WSWS Merchandise exclusives and discounts – work with operations manager and current merchandise provider to create exclusive merchandise flash sales and discounts for USA-WSWS members.
Develop campaigns to solicit camps and ski schools as well as clubs and dealerships 
Plan and execute annual USA-WSWS Awards Banquet  and develop an event marketing plan to sell tickets to the event.  Work with partnership services manager to secure annual awards banquet raffle items and coordinate, manage, and promote the fundraiser.
Marketing Communications
Manage internal email calendar 
Manage website
Create all internal membership and club communications to highlight the value of membership 
Develop automated membership onboarding and renewal email journeys within Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Create and send other essential member communication for the organization through Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Create and maintain email automation lists within Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Collaborate with communications director to develop content for The Water Skier Magazine, monthly e-newsletter and podcast
Work with social media contractor and partnership services manager to develop content and contests/promotions for USA-WSWS social media platforms 
Develop and manage budget for USA-WSWS marketing programs and initiatives 
Membership Services 
Answer member phone calls and emails when needed to support membership services team 
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 3-5 years of marketing experience 
Prior experience with a sports organization a plus 
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Proficient computer skills, including Office 365 suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, Weebly, Constant Contact, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud 

Ability to edit HTML

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Well organized and able to work independently manage multiple projects

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to create efficient and effective solutions

Ability to take initiative and work remotely
