Marketing and Communications Coordinator
Job Description

Position Summary 
 The Marketing & Communications Coordinator will report to the CMO and will be responsible for  assisting with marketing USYS programming, supporting website asset and content updates, executing and monitoring social media, generating ideas/concepts/copy for content tied to programming, supporting esports initiatives and helping with partner/sponsor marketing execution. The goal is to support the communication and marketing of various USYS programming and resources in order to elevate the USYS brand. 
This will be a dynamic role and will help set the tone and direction of the USYS brand. We need a candidate that will thrive in a culture where trust is quickly earned, staff supports the organization with passion, they embrace feedback, collaborate with others and sustain high performance because we play as a championship team.   
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Markets and programs content in support of USYS programming and assets (e.g. ODP, TOPSoccer, League America, USYS University). 
  • Leverages internal and external content and resources to promote USYS and our programming and assets.
  • Physically attends key regional and national programs and events, which may include weekends, in support of programming.
  • Communicates and coordinates with the Operations Staff to ensure marketing needs are aligned with programming.
  • Interfaces and collaborates with State Associations to share and improve marketing materials and execution.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Skills and Capabilities
  • 2-3 years working in a related field for a sports property, entertainment property, ad agency, publisher or related field.
  • Strong writing and editing skills along with a history of posting/publishing stories/content.
  • Familiarity with social media tools, management, planning, monitoring and content distribution methods (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Hootsuite, Linktree, etc).
  • Experience with leveraging various tools to manage and maintain a marketing and communications platform including familiarity with Sharepoint/Teams software.
  • Capable of supporting multiple projects and deadlines with the ability to meet changes and sudden interruptions with a can-do attitude.
  • Must be a collaborative team member willing to provide support when and where needed.
  • Solid communication skills that engender positive outcomes and elevate team performance.
  • Bilingual language skills are a plus.
