Washington Prime Group and The Aspire Group seek a teachable, positive and passionate individual who is committed to becoming a sales and service industry leader.  The Consultant should be passionate about and committed to preserving a culture that encourages, supports, and celebrates the diverse voices of our employees.  Sponsorship Sales and Service Consultant is primarily responsible for prospecting and qualifying leads, and selling integrated sponsorship/partnership packages at the regional level for programs and events offered by Washington Prime Group at their Town Centers.  New sponsorships will be generated primarily by outbound phone calls, and in some cases virtual meetings or presentations will be made.  May also receive inbound sales calls to upsell to high-value sponsor packages. 

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Sell sponsorships for programs and events (e.g., holidays, back to school) through outbound calls to businesses, interested parties, and newly prospected leads within the assigned region (Midwest, Florida or Texas) 
  • Focus on selling multi-property sponsorships and the full menu of sponsorship product offerings 
  • Generate qualified leads and maintain a continuous pipeline of potential clients through prospecting and implementing strategies to maximize outreach 
  • Make at least 60-80 outbound calls per day
  • Upsell inbound calls to high-value sponsor packages while providing superior customer service Maintain the highest level of customer service throughout the sales and service processes
  • Work with Manager and Washington Prime Group liaison to develop and share resources needed to pitch sponsorship proposals
  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales goals while exceeding client expectations in value and customer service
  • Maintain computerized records of all prospects and customers within the database
  • Flexible work schedule
  • Other duties as required
 
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field
  • Desire to grow a career in the sports and entertainment industry
  • Computer proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and detail oriented.
  • Sponsorship sales experience is preferred, but not necessary
  • Sales or customer service experience working in the Washington Prime Group regions (Midwest, Texas, Florida) is preferred, but not necessary
  • Sales experience is helpful, but not required.
  • Customer service or retail experience a plus; display a genuine desire to help
  • Excellent communication, presentation and listening skills with a high attention to detail 
  • Professional approach that results in a level of trust and respect with internal stakeholders, maintaining a team first attitude that ensures team goals are achieved 
  • Ability to work well with others and comfortable taking initiative.
  • Ability to encourage collaboration, flexibility, equity and inclusion that enables colleagues to contribute to their full potential, feel valued, and supported
  • Availability to work variable hours if needed 
  • Willingness to relocate for potential growth opportunities in the future
