Technical Services: Audio/Video Editing and Production
Position Summary
The Audio Visual Technician is a hands-on role involved in many aspects of the day to day technical needs of Bank of America Stadium, as it relates to Live Events, Broadcast Production and Panthers/Charlotte FC games. The position will report to the Sr. Director / Executive Producer of Game Presentation and Production; they will work closely with outside vendors, Stadium Operations, Live Events Producer and Event Operations.
Primary Responsibilities
The Technician will be responsible for many workflows and systems throughout Bank of America Stadium.  Maintenance and ensuring onsite LED boards are operational and functioning, including but not limited to replacing LED modules. .  The Technician will ensure the stadiums’ in-house TV system is operational and will oversee any issues relating to IPTV, Standard RF/Cable TV including TV maintenance and upkeep.  This position will work closely with the Video Engineer and Broadcast Truck technicians who are highly technical and versed across different specialties such as Audio, Video, IP Networking, Broadcast Engineering and Broadcast/Router signal flow.
The position requires the ability to strategically manage daily operations of the stadium’s AV systems with a close attention to detail and be extremely organized.  The ability to qualify issues and prioritize response time due to severity is key in many scenarios when “live”. 
Key areas of technical knowledge for this role are:
  • Understanding of IPTV Systems and Troubleshooting Methods
  • Understanding of Cable TV Systems and Troubleshooting Methods
  • Understanding of fiber-optics workflow as it relates to broadcast production and Troubleshooting Methods
  • Understanding if IP Networks and Troubleshooting Methods
  • Familiarity with HD video, Video formats, Audio Embedding/Dis-Embedding
Additional Responsibilities
The following is a general list of duties including but not limited to:
  • Technician will develop the technical and production requirements for various events, including timelines, equipment, and budgeting, across a variety of events
  • Oversee IPTV Systems
  • Maintain Cable TV Systems and local channel allocations
  • Work with SM Fiber as it relates to broadcast production
  • Assist live event producer
  • Assist Carolina Panthers, Charlotte FC and other stadium needs
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience in Live Production is a plus
  • Experience working for a systems integrator, consultant, end user, and/or manufacturer is a plus
  • Demonstrated knowledge of broadcast, audiovisual, and digital signage system design, operation, and integration
  • Understanding of various audio/video formats and standards
  • Demonstrated experience with technical project planning, system integration, verification and validation, and risk management
  • Possess and exhibit excellent written and oral communication, strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Must be willing to work all home events for Tepper Sports & Entertainment
  • A professional approach in all interaction with fellow staff members, players, and coaches
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Must be flexible to work evenings and/or weekends and all Carolina Panthers and Stadium events, including events held on weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Must pass pre-employment screens
