Position: Digital Video Manager
Department: Digital Media
Status: Full-time (Exempt) position
 
Position Summary
The Carolina Panthers are looking for a Digital Video Manager with experience creating various types of video content for posting across digital platforms and web. This person should have a comprehensive knowledge base of video production including shooting, editing and motion graphics design, with a focus on storytelling.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead the conception and production of visual stories through both micro-content and long-form features
  • Ideate new and engaging social and digital content
  • Manage the day-to-day tasks of the Digital Video team
  • Guide the execution of a Digital Video team to: 
    • Strategize and execute consistently engaging video content throughout year-round 
    • Work hand-in-hand with social media team to strategically roll out content 
    • Film and edit practice content 
    • Interview players and coaches for storytelling elements 
    • Delivering real-time content on game days 
  • Oversee the constant development of skills of the digital video department and  the exploration of new creative techniques
  • Effectively communicate creative ideas within a collaborative environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
  • At least 3 years of experience with creating content with emphasis on digital media
  • Must have a passion for helping the Carolina Panthers become a best-in-class video production team
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Deep understanding of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc., and what content is popular on those platforms
  • Adept at motion graphic design, design conventions, and post-production process
  • Must have a strong understanding of the latest digital, social media, and video production trends shaping professional sports including the cross-section of sports, pop culture, music, fashion, art, and entertainment
  • Must be capable of leading a small team
  • Must be flexible to work evenings and/or weekends and all Carolina Panthers and Stadium events, including events held on weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Must pass pre-employment screens

  • Must exhibit professionalism when interacting with staff, members of the media, and players/coaches
  • Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment with ability to multi-task and collaborate
  • Must be able to take project from concept to completion
  • Technically knowledgeable and savvy in a digital environment
  • Must organize personal workflows so projects are easily shared between teammates
  • Must be able to handle confidential, privileged, and/or sensitive information with carefully and with sensitivity
  • Must exhibit professionalism as it relates to budget management and meeting deadlines

Work Environment
  • This job operates in a professional office environment (mostly office environment, outside in a stadium facility at times which may include inclement weather conditions).  This position also requires travel to training camp and away games.
