Facility Operations/Event Staff: Security

Overview
Spurs Sports & Entertainment (SS&E) is seeking an experienced event security professional to join our family! The person in this role will maintain the policies and procedures that will protect our sports franchises, AT&T Center, Toyota Field, along with our other assets, our employees, and guests. He/She will also respond to alarms and emergency situations, which may require an immediate decision to maintain a safe and secure environment. He/She will report to the Director of Security and will assist in conducting security audits s on a regular basis of all our properties to ensure effective and efficient security operations. Development of procedures keep them current and train the team on the proper emergency protocol. Ensure that the Security Guards possess a working knowledge of security access control systems, protocols, CCTV and other security related equipment. They should ensure that their Security Guard team is CPR certified and able to respond to safety related incidents effectively. Additionally, this role will also assist in the scheduling and payroll of the full and part time security staff.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain established security policies and procedures that direct and advise all organizations within the AT&T Center including but not limited to; event schedules, security journals, incident reports, equipment conditions, parts and material inventories and budget costs to maximize effectiveness of security programs.
  • Lead, develop, train, and all security staff. Schedule team shifts while maintaining priority business needs based on a 24-hour building, personnel, and patron protection and surveillance. 
  • Responsible for the facilities readiness condition, ability to support events, and day-to-day operations. Ensure that all work is preformed in accordance with good industry practices and safety regulations.
  • Ensure protocols for carrying out emergency calls, life safety, and fire safety, are maintained and coordinated with outside resources. This includes OSHA regulations and safety/risk procedures for example.
  • Prepare, plan, and maintain the annual Security budgets and capital expenditures.
  • Assist in the evaluation of the security staff, structure and job descriptions and make recommendations for the best efficiency of the team to your immediate supervisor. 
  • Act as the liaison between the SAFD, First Medical Response, ambulance providers and concert tour security teams. 
  • Delegate to team members as needed while holding them accountable.

Qualifications
  • Associates degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years supervisory, management and/or leadership experience.
  • 3 years security experience.
  • Ability to attain and maintain a State Security license.
  • Knowledgeable in field of alarms, CCTV and access control systems.
  • Must have a flexible schedule to allow working long hours, including overnights, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with diverse staff, tenacious work ethnic and strong, written communication skills.
  • Proficient with computer programs and software, such as Microsoft Suite.
  • Possess attention to detail with high organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and adapt to change.
  • Ability to complete projects and resolve issues expeditiously, independently and with minimal oversight; proven experience showing initiative and good judgment.
  • Must possess the ability to meet dress standards. As a representative of SS&E dress standards are highly reflective of our brand.
  • 30% of job to be performed remotely/70% to be performed onsite as needed or on a seasonal basis. Subject to change based on event schedule.
