As an integral member of the Spurs Sports & Entertainment Marketing Department, this position is responsible for the creation & execution of comprehensive marketing plans for non-franchise events, such as concerts and family shows, at the AT&T Center and Freeman Coliseum. This position will be responsible for leading the brand & image development of the AT&T Center as one of the top sports & entertainment venues. This position will be required to maintain strong relationships with internal & external parties to achieve organizational and show goals and objectives, while overseeing and developing full-time staff.

  1. Lead strategy and execution of concert and non-franchise event marketing for AT&T Center and annual outdoor rock festival, River City Rockfest, through traditional and digital marketing tactics.
  2. Provide consultation and market expertise to promoters, publicists, tour management & media to develop strategic marketing plans that support artists’ tours locally and maximize ticket sales.
  3. Lead the development of comprehensive marketing plans for annual or semi-annual shows 
    including River City Rockfest, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Cirque du Soleil, and more.
  4. Lead the execution of all marketing elements of River City Rockfest festival planning with department leads including Marketing, Ticketing, VIP Programs, Analytics, Site Development, Signage, Sponsorship, Group Sales & more. 
  5. Analyze consumer data to evaluate and optimize marketing campaigns and strategy.
  6. Oversee growth of Venue Marketing Digital Channels (Social Media, Website, App, etc.)
  7. Oversee and manage the training and development of Full-Time Marketing staff, while assisting with day-to-day operations of the Marketing Department.
  8. Create, manage, and track venue assets including digital and print graphics, e-mail marketing, cross promotions, signage, website, and grassroots initiatives.
  9. Develop and manage AT&T Center and River City Rockfest marketing budgets for optimal campaign support, accuracy and appropriateness.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year college or university in business, marketing or related field.
  • 5-7 years marketing experience in event marketing.
  • 1-2 years management experience overseeing full-time staff.
  • A familiarity and strong understanding of concert/venue marketing is required. 
  • Experience or aptitude to manage full-time staff.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point, Adobe Photoshop and other computer skills required.
  • Excellent analytical skills, combined with a creative brand positioning background.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, problem solve and stay organized.
  • Ability to work long, flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
