Position overview

Sports Info Solutions (SIS) is looking for a new team member to fill a full-time position in the Business Development department as a Senior Vice President, Sales.

Sales at SIS is hands-on, and we are looking for a leader who can be accountable and responsible for our sales efforts; inclusive of hitting revenue targets, setting strategy, organizing the team, what technologies we use, how we forecast and track KPIs, along with management of a team of high performers. We are looking for someone who can identify what needs to get done to achieve our revenue goals, and can take care of it, alongside a crew of talented teammates.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be a leader, representing our sales group among the executive leadership team and will interact with our executives from product, technology and operations to identify market gaps, opportunities and ultimately drive revenue for the business.

What you’ll do as Senior Vice President, Sales on the team at SIS:

Includes (but is not limited to):

Lead the commercial efforts across all of our sport verticals of baseball, football and basketball, working across customer cohorts within pro sports teams, media, agencies and sports betting
Consistently identify new opportunities and set tactical sales strategies on an account-by-account basis
Unearth customer insights, define the value proposition and determine appropriate sales and marketing strategy to maximize growth objectives
Be accountable for consistently delivering against targets, ensuring SIS’ goals and objectives are achieved consistently and sustainably
Deliver accurate forecasted monthly, quarterly and annual revenues for each sport vertical; establish and manage data and supporting metrics (pipeline coverage, threat metrics, etc)
Lead by example, set expectations, follow through effectively to provide coaching and mentorship as needed, and ensure managers do the same for their team
Drive revenue growth across our sports and gaming verticals. Penetrate new markets and drive deeper in existing markets through thoughtful sales leadership and strategy
Attract and mentor high performers to the sales team
Play a key role within the Sales Organization at SIS, sharing industry best practice and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and cross-skilling

Qualifications

If you possess the following, you are well on your way to making an impact at SIS:

8+ years experience building and running strategic sales teams in sports, sports tech or sports betting
A self-starter able to work both autonomously with minimal supervision and collaboratively within an agile team
Relevant experience selling into complex organizations with stringent budgeting process
History of consistently meeting/exceeding revenue targets and objectives personally and as a leader.
Excellent leadership and influencing skills; ability to build strong business partnerships both outside, and within the organization.
Skilled at business planning and diligent at measuring and communicating progress towards the plan, identifying roadblocks, and coming up with appropriate solutions.
Highly professional persona and polished demeanor. Strong verbal and written communication skills; effective at delivering executive-level presentations.
Top candidates will have a knowledge and passion for sports, sports analytics and/or sports betting.
