Position Summary
Under general supervision of the Director of Booking at SMG Tulsa, interact continuously with clients, promoters, artist’s agents and artist’s managers in efforts to solidify ticketed business for the BOK Center and the Cox Business Center. Assist in coordination of all aspects of the booking process. Assist in the development and coordination of all special projects and festivals associated with SMG Tulsa.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Develop new concert, family, comedy, religious and theatrical programming for SMG Tulsa.
• Negotiate venue deals with promoters and/or agents.
• Monitor and maintain the booking calendar for all entertainment spaces.
• Obtain full understanding of venue deal points and agreements.
• Assist in the distribution of fact sheets and show related information to all facility personnel.
• Assist in settlement of ticketed shows.
• Contact prospective promoters, agents, managers and individuals to initiate the sales effort.
• Follow-up on leads generated by outside sources.
• Prepares statistics, reports and budget presentations for top management.
• Negotiate, compile, develop and execute contracts and venue agreements (to include tracing of contract, deposits and insurance).
• Establish expansive network of arena, theater and artist promoters, agents, representatives/managers.
• Develop new high-priority special events to grow venue attendance and revenue
• Assist with public relations activities.
• Work in conjunction with building marketing, event services, operations, and food & beverage staff in the planning and execution of special events.
• Work with Business Development department to design sponsorship sales plans to support special events and projects.
• Conduct special studies or research as assigned.
• Maintains, at all times, high standards, positive attitude, and professional appearance.
• Attend weekly staff meetings. Develop and maintain a harmonious working relationship with all of the other departments.
• Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Occasional travel for meetings with agents, promoters, and other prospective clients
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
• Demonstrate knowledge of principles, practices and terminology of touring concert industry and booking.
• Work independently to develop new special events from conceptualization to execution.
• Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons and others encountered in the course of employment.
• Operate a personal computer using Windows and Microsoft Office software as well as SMG Booking.
• Operate standard office equipment including copier and fax machine.
• Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
• Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
• Ability to speak effectively before group.
• Excellent organizational, planning, communication and inter-personal skills.
• Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks.
• Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines. Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.
• Be licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.

Minimum Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of four years relevant experience in management.
• Minimum of two (years) experience booking national touring acts/content in a stadium, arena, theater, or club preferred.

Computer Skills
• Operate a personal computer using Windows, Microsoft Office and other standard office equipment.
• Strong understanding and ability to use SMG Booking program a plus.
