Playfly Sports is looking for a Vice President, Playfly Enterprise Properties to join our team in New York (Preferred), Los Angeles, or Chicago.

The Vice President (VP), Playfly Enterprise Properties will be responsible for overseeing the group that owns relationships with a variety of emerging rightsholders, helping them drive sales and operations. This is a new team at Playfly that partners with properties across sports, media, and entertainment in a variety of ways, including full multi-media rights representation, property and events management, and liaison with the rest of Playfly services. Playfly Enterprise Properties sits within the Playfly Global Partnerships organization, which represents an exclusive network of sports properties and brands who connect to fans through Playfly. This individual will have P&L ownership over Playfly Enterprise Properties and manage other VPs or GMs, sales leaders, and others. The ideal candidate needs to demonstrate prior revenue results in addition to overall business development, smart business decisions, and leadership. 

  • Be the leader of a team in alignment with Playfly’s culture and principles
  • Manage the P&L of Playfly Enterprise Properties; directly responsible for revenue and EBITDA targets
  • Manage direct reports who are responsible for the specific revenue and EBITDA targets tied to their respective partners
  • Oversee a wide variety of sports and entertainment properties, all with potentially different elements of complexities
  • Help the centralized Business Development team identify new prospective partners and follow approval processes before onboarding
  • Develop, implement, and lead the Enterprise Properties team; help shape the group’s commercial strategy in partnership with the Head of Playfly Global Partnerships, the COO, and Business Development
  • Work with the Enterprise Management teams to understand operations & technical needs
  • Establish and develop deep relationships with our partners; deliver excellent results
  • Connect the dots across Playfly divisions to identify cross sell opportunities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of Playfly Enterprise Properties
  • Ability to travel to various properties across the US on monthly basis
  • Other job-related duties as assigned

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on business management, sports management, or a related field required
  • 10+ years of experience in a sales, business development or partnership marketing role, preferably in sports; at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Proven success in developing, implementing, and leading profitable sales programs
  • Experience working in the sports & media industry
  • Strong technical skills & experience in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
  • Creative thinker with a passion for sports & excitement to build something new
  • This role may require travel for business needs and availability to work off-hours and weekends for special sporting events

The pay range for this role is $190,000 to $225,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
