This is a once-in-a-career opportunity for a strategic Marketing leader who wants to make a meaningful impact on two professional sports brands. The Vice President of Brand Strategy will lead the Marketing and Game Experience verticals for both the New Orleans Saints and the New Orleans Pelicans and serve as a key member of the VP-level leadership team. This position is accountable for strategic planning and activation, brand advertising, performance marketing, database marketing, product development, game presentation & entertainment, special events and the in-house design studio. They’ll work cross-functionally to ensure that all touchpoints are building the brand and driving maximum impact. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and has several direct reports.
  • Develop full-funnel marketing plans that support the organization’s business objectives
  • Steward seasonal campaigns that align with league tentpoles and organizational priorities
  • Set clear objectives for all marketing efforts and report the results to the executive team on a quarterly basis
  • Work hand-in-hand with Ticket Sales & Service to ensure our products and benefits align with the needs of the fan
  • Collaborate with Insights & Analytics to better understand avid fans, casual fans and prospective new fans, and create offerings that will increase their value
  • Manage relationships with external agencies and vendors
  • Collaborate with Corporate Partnerships to develop mutually-beneficial brand activations with team sponsors
  • Develop a special events strategy that deepens the connection between the teams and their fanbases
  • Be a public face of the teams when necessary; serving as a PR surrogate for local and national media
  • Serve as a stakeholder in the multi-year renovation of the Caesars Superdome
  • Create a game presentation that is fan-first, uniquely New Orleans and creates the environment that helps the teams win games
  • Collaborate with Operations & Fan Experience to ensure the gameday experience exceeds fan expectations from arrival to departure
  • Leverage fan feedback to assess the effectiveness of Game Experience strategies

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or a closely related field
  • Track record of professional success that has resulted in positions of increased responsibility at large consumer brands and/or marketing agencies
  • Fluent in all media with experience building full-funnel marketing campaigns
  • Direct experience with entertainment, sports, retail or e-commerce is a plus
  • +5 years experience managing large, high-performing teams
  • P&L accountability in previous positions
