The New Orleans Pelicans & Saints are seeking a talented and passionate individual who is committed to becoming a sales leader in the sport industry starting June 18th. This individual will experience a 10 month sales development program which focuses on career growth, continual sales training, and overall betterment as a professional. The Inside Sales Consultant will be provided a full menu of products to sell including Saints Suites and the following Pelicans products: Annual Suites, Single Game Suites, Season Tickets, Partial Season Tickets, Group Tickets, and Mini Packages. These products will be sold primarily via cold calls, face-to-face appointments, sales tables, networking events, and self-prospecting. Training and support will be provided by the leadership team, namely from the Inside Sales Manager and the Director of Premium. The Pelicans & Saints’ primary goal is to develop future sales leaders within the organization. Top sales leaders on the Inside Sales team will be considered for promotion to the New Business Account Executive role towards the end of the program’s course.


  • Generate revenue by cold calling individuals and companies to set up face-to-face appointments and finalize sales of Saints Suites, Pelicans Suites, Season Tickets, Partial Season Tickets, Group Tickets, and Mini Packages.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual individual goals set by the Manager of Inside Sales.
  • Make 100 outbound phone calls per day.
  • Complete 3-5 face-to-face appointments per week.
  • Service and renew accounts sold throughout the year.
  • Provide excellent service through phone calls, emails, and in-person interactions.
  • Attend weekly meetings and training sessions conducted by the Inside Sales Manager.
  • Contribute positively to the organizational culture in working together with peers and leadership team.
  • Work some Saints home games and 50% of Pelicans home games.
  • Manage customer interaction using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016.
  • Manage available ticket inventory using Archtics Ticketing System.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Inside Sales Manager.

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university.
  • Strong work ethic and passion to build a career in professional sports sales.
  • Desire to be a sales leader and to be committed to continual learning and growth.
  • Self-motivated and highly engaged, ready to exceed expectations daily.
  • Ability to work as a team player.
  • Ability to provide thorough and exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Effective listener.
  • Ability to present sales material to prospects on an appointment.
  • Adaptability and time management skills – ability to manage time properly, based on time of the year and given tasks.
  • Dependability, consistently at work on time, follows instructions, responds to manager’s instructions, and completes tasks on time.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong computer skills including all Microsoft Office software programs.
