Position Overview: The Public Address Announcer is the main voice for the Washington Wizards at Capital One Arena. 

Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible for all in-arena announcements during Washington Wizards home games, including starting line ups, in-game updates, sponsor messaging, presentations, and other announcements as assigned.
  • Work closely with the Game Presentation department to help build an unrivaled experience for fans during all Washington Wizards home games.
  • Work all Washington Wizards home games and pre-game meetings as necessary. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's Degree. 
  • Strong vocal talent.
  • Excellent knowledge of basketball and the NBA, including rules, positions, team rosters, and other game-related statistics.
  • Experience as a Game Presentation professional, preferred.
  • Professional sports industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Able to accurately prioritize and make timely adjustments in a fast-paced , dynamic environment. 
  • Ability to develop and champion strong and diverse community relationships.
  • Passion for the Washington D.C. community and a dedication to giving back.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
