Position Overview: Responsible for developing and executing a proactive media and communications strategy for Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE), its business properties, and its senior executive leadership in order to drive positive and strategic messages about MSE with local, national, and international media outlets.

  • Develop and execute strategic corporate communications strategy, encompassing media relations, executive visibility, online and social media activities.
  • Drive corporate media relations locally, nationally, and internationally to further improve the overall profile and reputation of the corporate entity in the business and philanthropic communities. 
  • Direct the research, writing, and editing of key documents, including: press releases, media advisories, key messages, media statements, reports, Q&As, fact sheets, backgrounders, web and social content. 
  • Establish corporate social media strategy and lead execution. 
  • Direct management of media monitoring and social media for MSE.
  • Support leadership speaking opportunities and lead company-wide speaking opportunity process.
  • Coordinate with communications executives across teams and properties. 
  • Oversee relations with external strategic communications agency support.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or a related field of study.
  • 10+ years experience in an agency or corporate communications environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple time sensitive obligations in a dynamic environment. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
