Ryan-Sanders Sports Services (RS3 Turf) is a sports field specialty construction and maintenance contractor that handles all phases of natural and synthetic turf jobs for professional, collegiate, municipal, and high school facilities, from excavation and sub base through installation and maintenance.

Located in Round Rock, TX, we are one of the state’s most trusted resources for providing superior quality of natural grass and synthetic turf sports fields.

Preferred candidate has minimum 3 years’ experience with Sports field construction and/or repair of grass surfaces through laser grading, operating dual slope and cone laser systems, demolition of area, rototilling, combinating (fraze mowing), and addition of soil amendments. Prior working knowledge on both Natural and Artificial field construction.

  • Assist with the renovation of sports field surfaces, facilities, stadiums and complexes primarily in the state of Texas and throughout the United States requiring travel and overnight stays. 
  • Prepare soil surfaces such as baseball/softball infield and mounds. 
  • Blend appropriate mixture of sand, clay, and other soils to provide appropriate surface in areas, such as pitcher's mound, home plate, or long jump pit. 
  • Repair irrigation systems including the control box, circulation pipes, drainpipes, valves, and heads. 
  • Clean head and valve boxes, complete head adjustments, and ensure a level surface around heads. 
  • Apply Pesticides through Backpack applications to control weed, insect and fungal problems.
  • General landscaping of both athletic and recreation areas – work includes planting, weeding, cultivation, ground cover pruning, vine and shrub pruning, mulching, leaf pick-up, tree trimming, brush pick-up and chipping, mowing, edging, and blowing clippings off landscape. 
  • General mechanical aptitude for work on equipment, tractors, mowers, company vehicles and trailers. 
  • Maintain tools and equipment in clean safe manner and log all use as required.
  • Maintain safe working conditions and follow (conform to) the health and safety policies in place.  

Must be someone who can lead a crew with minor supervision, enjoys working outdoors in all kinds of weather,  can work in a team environment, has ability to problem-solve, has a commitment to high quality work and attention to detail, is a motivated self-starter with the capacity to take full ownership the position’s duties. Must be willing to travel. Willingness to accept fluctuating schedules. Exceptional equipment operating skills. Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision. The ability to obtain a CDL license (Class A) within a 60-day period a must. Ability to communicate with team members, other employees and the general public in a professional manner.Prefer a working knowledge of sports field or facility construction principles, practices and methods;
