LaLiga North America is a new joint venture between LaLiga, Spain’s top-flight soccer competition, and Relevent Sports, a multinational media, sports and entertainment group, focused on promoting soccer in the U.S. and Canada and fuelling the league’s growth in the region through multi-platform content, consumer activations, grassroots soccer initiatives, exhibition matches, and plans to have an official LaLiga Santander match played in the U.S.

We are seeking a Head of Sales to lead all commercial efforts in the U.S. and Canada across a broad range of properties, including digital and social content, experiential and events, and sporting development projects. This is an incredible opportunity for someone looking to build and grow the business of a new organization with backing from established and experienced entities.

Main Responsibilities
• Develop and execute integrated marketing sales strategies for all LaLiga North America properties
• Ideate and review new sellable programs with all areas of the organization
• Secure strategic level relationships with clients and agencies
• Lead sponsorship revenue generation
• Lead all commercialization efforts for digital and social content generated by LaLiga
• Lead all events and experiential marketing commercial activities
• Act as representative to La Liga North America in commercial and marketing events

Desired Skills & Qualifications
• 8+ years professional experience working in sales / business development roles in media with a proven track record of driving sales and new business 
• Experience in the sports industry (with an emphasis in soccer) preferred 
• Success in originating, negotiating and closing significant marketing partnerships 
• Excellent contacts and relationships with agencies and clients in the media industry that can lead to revenue opportunities 
• Strong negotiation, influencing skills and an ability to persuade at all levels of an agency or client 
• Entrepreneurial spirit with excellent interpersonal and communications skills 
• Fluency in Spanish Language preferred, but not required 
• A passion for sports and interest in soccer 
• Willingness to travel in the USA, Canada and Spain
