Business: Indoor Sports Facility

Job Title: Director of Operations

Reports To: President

Hours per Week: Full Time

Company seeks a highly motivated, self-starter to manage the day to day operations of 180,000 square foot indoor sports facility. Job duties would include but are not limited to; managing full time and part time staff on a daily basis, lead daily operations for facility to ensure control is exercised in expense management and facility maintenance, while ensuring facility usage schedule is maximizing revenue.

Programs and Fields:

* Design age specific leagues and tournaments targeting youth and adult customers, formats specific to age groups and experience levels with assistance of Director of fields (DOF)

* Coordinate in-house programs with coaching staff then schedule these in-house; hire coaching staff for house programs

* Develop programs/leagues/tournaments, camps and outside rentals to increase field usage

* Develop and communicate a Calendar for programs, leagues, tournaments and camps

* Review and evaluate sales per program and per field; make program/field adjustments to maximize sales

* Design and administer registration for all programs, leagues, tournaments and camps with assistance of controller.

* Oversee the Scheduling of all rentals by the DOF within the facility

Marketing/Customer Service:

* Build brand awareness of SSP throughout the sports community

* Maintain website including but not limited to: updating league/tournaments scores, program/event information and upcoming features

* Market the facility in the community

* Attend local Club and Coaches meetings to encourage participation

* Stay in contact with ODP and various soccer organizations and Academies

* Grow customer base; renew returning/annual customers and continue to develop new relationships within the facility

* Coordinate I-contact email to go out bi-weekly notifying customers of open field time as well as league and tournament promotions

* Customer Service; answer phones, assist guests with customer service needs including team/player registration and payment

Operations:

* Ensure that all leagues, rentals and tournaments are organized and run on time

* Set up a weekly Ops meeting with all opening and closing managers to prepare for the weekend

* Management of all full time and part time staff, which includes interviewing, training, hiring, scheduling, motivating and monitoring progress.

* Improve management's effectiveness by training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining managers and staff; communicates values, strategies, and objectives amongst all levels of staff; assigns accountabilities, and monitors and evaluates results.

* Open and Close the facility as per schedule

* Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

* Provide a safe environment for all customers, guests and employees

* Present the facility to the public with exceptional cleanliness and in an organized, well maintained fashion at all times

* Report all maintenance and safety issues to the Vice President

* Follow US Youth Soccer/NYSWYSA, BWNYJSL, Region 1 and OSA guidelines

Other:

* Assist in Pro Shop when needed

* Closing Manager

* Ensure the proper use and care of equipment in facility

* Ensure the safety of the building from fire, flood and other hazards

* Ensure the safety of the customers; discipline when necessary

* Maintain the efficiency and good working conditions of the facilities

* Close the facility to ensure proper security

* Verify SOPs are completed and signed off before closing the facility

* Participate in Field setup, preparation and breakdown, including balls, equipment, referees

* First Response employee; AED, First Aid, CPR

* Assist with any WNY Flash work when directed which may take priority over other regular or scheduled duties

* Assist in all other areas when needed
