THE ROLE   

The Student Staffing Coordinator will report to the General Manager at the UNF Engagement Center to execute Human Resource related responsibilities including but not limited to, recruitment, hiring and onboarding tasks to help increase staff efficiency and productivity as well as improve current processes. This position will provide exposure to recruitment, onboarding, and working in a higher education/fundraising environment. This will be a part-time in office role working up to 30 hours per week. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Recruitment:
    • Create and execute yearly recruitment plan
    • Submit newsletters and job board requests
    • Work with creative team on recruitment assets and collateral
    • Register and attend career fairs, tabling across campus, etc.
    • Schedule interviews with potential new hires, reserving conference room space
    • Develop environmental recruiting plan that includes, but is not limited to, on campus signage, tabling, digital ads, etc.
  • Onboarding
    • Work alongside the General Manager to facilitate new hire onboarding.
    • Send offer emails to new hires to collect and record contact information
    • Send necessary onboarding emails to HR
    • Send onboarding emails and updates to new hires
    • Submit badge access to building
    • Submit necessary tech requests related to onboarding/training
  • Fundraising & Engagement
    • Develop, manage and grow 1:1 relationship with constituents through multi-channel outreach that includes phone, email, text, video and direct mail.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Must be a current college/university student with a 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA (Preferably a student at University of Nebraska in a Human Resources/Business major or related field).
  • Strong time management and project management skills; ability to multitask in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Resourceful, analytical, innovative, intellectually curious.
  • Experience with Microsoft office
