Nature of Work:

  • Responsible for building corporate relationships capable of driving impactful sponsorship and media partnerships for KSE and with our clients.
  • Prospect, pitch, and close new sponsorship and media deals associated with the following properties:  Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Rapids, Colorado Mammoth, Ball Arena, Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, and Altitude Sports & Entertainment (TV & Radio).
  • Works closely with the Leadership Team on building a positive sales culture within the department, emphasizing relationships, revenue, and rewards with our colleagues and throughout KSE.

 

Examples of work performed:

  • Build and maintain a robust list of corporate relationships.
  • Research and identify new sponsorship and media sales prospects.
  • Develop and lead sales presentations with partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Create advertising packages across the KSE portfolio to drive revenue and achieve client objectives, which can include the following assets:  intellectual property, in-arena signage, ticketing, premium hospitality, television, radio, digital, community, experiential activations, and others.
  • Collaborate with the Activation team and other internal KSE departments to execute against sponsorship and media sales deals.
  • Maintain positive and clear communication between the Partnership Marketing & Media Sales department and other departments within KSE (i.e., marketing, game presentation, accounting, building operations, ticket sales, premium hospitality, legal, IT, television, radio, etc.).
  • Attending games and other events to entertain clients and build corporate relationships.
  • Provide weekly reporting of sales metrics including pipeline generation, account updates, and relevant sponsor interactions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum
    1. Three to five years of sales experience within professional sports or other related fields.
    2. Experience develop and selling integrated sponsorship and or media sales packages.
    3. Ability to synthetizes information from a variety of sources to develop customized and solution-oriented sales presentations capable of engaging prospective advertisers.
    4. Driver’s License
  • Preferred
    1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
      • Business, Sports Marketing and/or Sports Management degree preferred

  • Must showcase the following: multi-tasking, strategic thinking, strong organizational skills, collaboration, ability to prioritize projects, able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills through goal setting, communication, motivation, and constructive direction
  • Ability to write clearly and effectively, with solid verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point required
  • Proficiency in Sportsdigita & KORE-CRM proficiency preferred

 

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $100,000 per annum
  • Eligible to participate in partnership marketing & media sales commission plan above and beyond base salary
