POSITION OVERVIEW:
Prudential Center and the New Jersey Devils are seeking experienced control room personnel to work New Jersey Devils games, Seton Hall basketball games, and other arena events. The ideal candidates will have prior experience in a live production or video control room setting and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
POSITIONS AVAILABLE:
Ross Xpression CG Operator
- Operator will build and control all graphical information including but not limited to lower-thirds, team rosters, stat graphics, and full-page graphics.
- Responsible for loading all content and organizing playlists within Ross Xpression
- Required to update graphic templates and design basic logo bugs or graphics within Xpression.
- Manage NHL Hits system to keep player statistics up to date in-game.
- Knowledge of hockey preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of building and operating Ross Xpression required.
Ross Xpression Video Playback Operator
- Operator will serve as video playback operator for all events including Devils hockey and Seton Hall basketball.
- Responsible for loading in game-day content and creating playlists within Ross Xpression.
- Knowledge of building and Operating Ross Xpression preferred.
ClickEffects LED Operator
- Load LED content to multiple Click Effects systems and boards on a game by game basis.
- Operate LED boards in game including but not limited to all sponsorship, noise prompts, headshots, goals, etc.
- Must be a quick thinker and have critical listening skills.
- Knowledge or experience with Chyron ClickEffects preferred.
EVS Replay Operator
- Operator will roll back on multiple angles and replay during live Devils and Seton Hall games.
- Operator will prep highlight and b-roll packages to play back in-game or during intermissions or halftime.
- Knowledge or experience with EVS Replay System preferred / sports replay experience required.
Shader/Robo Cam Operator
- Operator will be responsible for white balancing and shading all cameras before and during both New Jersey Devils and Seton Hall games, as well as various other events that require cameras.
- Operate robotic camera inside the scoreboard.
- Prior experience preferred but not required.
NHL Edge/Selfie Cam Operator
- Operator will be responsible for all NHL Edge player tracking graphics that appear on scoreboard during all Devils games.
- Operator will also approve and send content to Selfie Cam through Vixi Live during all Devils games.
Ice Projection and Interactive Games Operator
- Operator will playback all 3D elements to Devils game presentation, including the show open, intermission re-join shows, headshots, and screensavers.
- Operator will oversee Devils interactive in-arena games via control room laptop. This will include testing, loading, and playing out multiple games including the coin shuffle, dessert race, and emoji cam.
Engineer Assistant
- Actively participates in the support of the Rockvision Video/ Engineering team including setup and break down of AV equipment.
- Assists in the daily system operation of portable audio and video setups around Prudential Center.
- Communicates and works closely with other departments within the organization on game nights to ensure proper setup of events.
- Be able to troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Knowledge of broadcast and AV equipment required.
Audio 2
- Actively participates in the support of the Rockvision Audio team including setup and break down of AV equipment.
- Work directly with the A1 to complete event audio tasks, setting up and testing mic, running XLR cable, testing audio feeds, ect.
- Lead a small group in set up, operation and bread down of small audio systems.
- Communicates and works closely with other departments within the organization on game nights to ensure proper setup of events.
- Be able to troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Knowledge of broadcast and AV equipment required.
Lighting Technician (L1, L2)
- Actively participates in the support of the Rockvision Lighting team including setup and break down of AV equipment.
- Assists in the daily system operation of portable lighting setups around Prudential Center.
- Communicates and works closely with other departments within the organization on game nights to ensure proper setup of events.
- Be able to troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Knowledge of broadcast and AV equipment required.
- Knowledge of MA lighting console operation and programing preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS:
- This is a union position. As such, control room personnel must join the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local 1212 within 30 days of their hire date.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Travel Requirements: May be required to travel on rare occasions (<5% travel)
- Physical Demands: This position may require the ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Work Environment: This position may require you to work nights, holidays, and weekends.
