This position exists to generate revenue for UNLV Athletics.  Athletics ticket sales account for over 4 million dollars of UNLV Athletics’ operating budget.  College athletic departments across the country are experiencing attrition in attendance and ticket sales.  This coupled with Las Vegas’s expanding professional sports and entertainment market necessitates a sales force to proactively build relationships with prospective fans to generate revenue.  This position will be charged with selling season, partial, and group tickets to folks who have expressed an interest in or have an affinity for UNLV Athletics.  This position will mainly target “warm” leads, which includes single game purchasers and donors that we have in our system with goal of converting these people to season ticket holders or increase from single game purchasers to partial package purchasers.
 
There has not previously been a coordinated sales effort in the inside sales space and as such, this person will have a lengthy database of prospective customers to target.  Additionally, this individual will work to increase the database with new contacts in coordination with the Assistant AD for Marketing and Fan Development and the Director of Ticket Sales.  
 
This position will be charged with analyzing qualitative findings from client experience feedback to create and develop stewardship programs for retention and new sales.  This position will provide programming recommendations to the Director of Ticket Sales, Associate AD, Content Creation & Fan Engagement, and the Athletics Director in order to engage current and new buyers.  They will also be responsible for tracking qualitative findings and sales number.
