The 5,000 organizations fall into approximately 40 different group categories including: labor unions, churches, schools, youth clubs, camps, military, parks & rec centers, fire and police, etc.  Our existing sales database reflects less than 10% of this market.  As such, this position will be responsible for developing the group sales approach that penetrates and expands UNLV’s reach in the community organization market.
This position will be responsible for building relationships with community organizations with the goal of selling group ticket packages.  They will be responsible for calling to set up in-person appointments, spearheading those appointments, attending community events to network, and converting leads to sales.
The Group Sales Coordinator will be charged with developing custom ticket package offerings and experiences based on the needs of the client and will have the autonomy to make decisions on the product sold.  Additionally, they will be responsible for strategically stewarding their clients at events and following up after events to see how their experience was.  Using this qualitative data, this position can make adjustments to their sales strategy with current and prospective clients.
