Player Operations: Volleyball Coach

The candidate will report to the Head Volleyball Coach and assist in the operations and administration of a Division I women’s volleyball program.
  • Must be able to use the following software: DataVolley, DataVideo, VolleyMetrics, Hudl, DartFish, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Adobe Illustrator, MovieMaker (or similar video program), Scoutware, Camp Network.
  • Manage the digital video recording of practice and matches and code them using DataVolley.
  • Create montages.
  • Help coordinate practice and facility scheduling.
  • Serve as the on-campus contact during summer recruiting periods.
  • Serve as the liaison and point of contact between the volleyball program and select department support units including information technology to maintain server content.
  • Direct the video operations for the volleyball program including the digital video recording of practice and matches, coding practices and matches (using DataVolley), organize and monitor video exchange.
  • Collaborate with internal and external to create video content for use at events and through social media and other media.
  • Assist with departmental or university fundraising, public relations, and media contact requirements.
  • Analyze statistics generated and create spreadsheets that facilitate the interpretation of results.
  • Scout opponent and assist coaches with scouting reports.
  • Work with third party contracted analysts.
  • Assist in advancing the department's mission, vision, and strategic plan including its commitment to equity and diversity.
  • Know and understand NCAA rules related to the ongoing performance of duties within an NCAA Division I program and commitment to follow those rules.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the head coach or director of athletics or designee at the university.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience working or participating in an NCAA Division I volleyball program or professional team
  • Master’s degree
