Sun Devil Athletics Corporate Partnerships is Pac-12 MMR, LLC’s local, dedicated entity representing the Arizona State University Athletics. In complete collaboration with the university, this team is committed to extending the affinity of the Sun Devil brand to businesses and corporations of all sizes looking to align with the undeniably loyal and passionate collegiate sports fan base.
 
As exclusive multimedia rights partner for the Arizona State University Athletics, Sun Devil Athletics Corporate Partnerships, in coordination with Sun Devil Athletics senior leadership, Pac-12 MMR manages all aspects of the rights relationship. Providing corporate partners with traditional, digital, and other non-traditional media opportunities to align their own brand and garner maximum exposure through inventory such as venue signage; television game broadcasts; radio game broadcasts; coaches’ shows; digital engagement including social media, the official athletics website, content, digital gaming and retargeting, print publications, event sponsorships and promotion; and corporate hospitality.
 
Pac-12 MMR’s growing team seeks an experienced, motivated sales professional to join our team located on the Arizona State University main campus in Tempe, AZ.  If you’re interested in combining your passion for sports with your successful track record in sales, we want to speak with you!
 
Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated traditional media, digital, and other non-traditional media experience in developing and implementing integrated marketing partnerships. You will be responsible for delivering a high volume of new business and a high rate of existing partnership retention while building and maintaining lasting relationships with our corporate partners as well as the athletic department and campus staff.
 
Responsibilities
  • The Senior Account Executive reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for developing and selling creative marketing solutions to exceed the needs of the partner
  • Expected to spend more than 50% of the time outside of the office on partnership development, face-to-face meetings, sales, and sales promotion    
  • Leverage your passion and knowledge to develop long-term business partnerships between your partners and the collegiate athletics programs they support
  • Create, present, and implement integrated marketing packages using traditional media, digital and other non-traditional marketing channels to meet identified objectives
  • Understand the evolving landscape of partnership marketing to include a product mix that focuses on the benefits of digital and social media assets and solutions
  • Speak confidently to partners about the advantages and value of team partnership programs
  • Collaborate with vendors, partners, staff, and appropriate university athletic personnel to ensure implementation of partnership elements and contract fulfillment
  • Participate in game day activities to share and highlight the collegiate sports experience with existing and potential partners
  • Conduct yourself in a way to demonstrate a strong commitment to team collaboration and success

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5+ years of successfully selling comprehensive integrated sports marketing partnerships including major media elements (signage, radio, social, digital, etc.) or other relevant B2B sales experience
  • Ability to analyze a partner’s traditional, digital and non-traditional marketing strategies in order to identify needs based on the customer’s marketing targets and objectives, in order to craft an integrated marketing solution(s) to meet those needs
  • Strong knowledge of traditional media including but not limited to television, radio, print and out-of-home marketing
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing, including but not limited to social media, content marketing, banner ads, mobile, retargeting and websites, including interpreting performance analytics for all areas
  • Advanced negotiating skills with the ability to identify and influence key decision-makers through a strong communication of value proposition
  • Strong competitive spirit – desire to win the business through hard work and determination
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills 
  • Driven to succeed and able to overcome obstacles
  • Ability to adapt your style/messaging to the needs of the prospective partner and/or partner
  • Ability to quickly establish personal relationships through trust and empathy
  • Local market experience preferred, not required
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
