Food and Beverage: Server/Concessions
The server is responsible for providing excellent customer service and experience for all guests dining at Terra Mare by being attentive to their needs, making them feel welcome, comfortable and relaxed. The server must have a well-rounded understanding of the menu and ability to speak to the items being served in addition to, the wine offerings and cocktail menu. The server is an integral part of the Terra Mare team as they interact most closely with guests, therefore the server must be energetic and upbeat and have a passion for good food and cocktails!
Core Responsibilities
·         Deliver customers the highest level of quality service to ensure an exceptional dining experience at Terra Mare
·         Prepare dining room by setting tables and decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates and utensils
·         Understand the food menu and cocktail menu to offer recommendations to customers as well as upselling different menu items.
·         Assist customers in selecting food and beverages by presenting menu; offering cocktails; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties; identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation questions
·         Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording customers’ choices; identifying any special dietary needs and special requests
·         Serve orders by picking up and delivering food/drinks from bar and kitchen
·         Respond to additional customer requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process
·         Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to spills or other special needs
·         Obtain revenues by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment
·         Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
·         Assist with special events as needed
·         Other duties as assigned
 
Minimum Qualifications for the Position:
·         Must be at least 18 years of age
·         2-3 Years’ experience in a servers position
·         Knowledge of restaurant procedures and operations
