Responsible for the daily shift operations for the back of the house and kitchen area of the restaurant including but not limited to preparation, maintenance of quality standards, food standards and safety, sanitation.  You will be expected to provide the highest quality product for the customers we serve.

Core Responsibilities
  • Coach staff throughout the shift to improve efficiencies
  • Ensure all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards
  • Assist with ordering food products according to predetermined product specifications and received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are received in accordance with the restaurant’s policies and procedures during scheduled shifts
  • Help control food cost and usage by following proper requisition of products from storage areas, product storage procedures, standard recipes and waste control procedures including checking and maintaining proper food holding and refrigeration temperatures control points
  • Fill in where needed to ensure high guest service standards and efficient operations
  • Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant’s preventative maintenance programs
  • Train and validate new back of the house staff
  • Other duties as assigned.
 

Minimum Qualifications for the Position:
  • 1-2 Years restaurant experience in high volume restaurant
  • 1 Year Kitchen Management experience
  • Knowledge of BOH procedures for food & safety and sanitation
  • Experience in procuring and receiving product preferred
