Position Summary

The digital media editorial intern will support, contribute, help provide valuable insights and be a trusted member of the AtlantaFalcons.com editorial team. This assignment is a year-long internship for the 2019 season beginning July 15, 2019 and will be located at the Atlanta Falcons headquarters in Flowery Branch, Georgia.  Candidates must be able to contribute 30 hours per week and be available on nights, weekends and attendance at all home games.

Roles and Responsibilities

You are much more than an intern; the digital media editorial intern is a valued member of our team who will assist and contribute in a number of areas. The digital media editorial intern must think like a journalist – someone who has an eye for news, thoroughly understands the NFL, knows a great story and headline when she/he sees one, is a stickler when it comes to clean copy (AP style) and embraces the digital space. The digital media editorial intern must know our CMS inside and out, know how to post stories, make edits when asked, update rosters/transactions, add videos and photo galleries to stories on AtlantaFalcons.com. There will also be writing opportunities at some point, and he/she must demonstrate an ability to write cleanly and accurately on tight deadlines. The ideal candidate must understand and embrace the importance of analytics – and be able to track/log content performance whenever asked.
