Position Summary:


The Program Manager- Fan Engagement for the LA Galaxy will oversee the relationship, gameday logistics, collaboration and experiences for the club’s supporter groups (LA Riot Squad, Angels City Brigade, Galaxy Outlawz, Galaxians and the newly established Victoria Block).   The manager will excel at internal and external operations while working to grow the supporter community (official team volunteers and paying fans), ultimately impacting the club’s revenue and brand affinity within Los Angeles.


Essential Functions:


  • Serve as the main point of contact with Supporter Groups and internal liaison for all club-related matters including the overall relationship, Galaxy games, event operations and community partnerships
  • Oversee and plan gameday logistics and operations as it relates to LA Galaxy games including game procedures, tailgate operations and in-game atmosphere in coordination with stadium and MLS guidelines
  • Lead the ideation process and project manage the timeline and budgets of in-game atmosphere improvements including tifo systems, safe standing sections, supporter-specific bars, capo stands, etc.
  • Plan, develop, and execute the LA Galaxy away travel plan for the supporter groups while serving as the main point of contact for visiting supporter groups. Manage event logistics in key cities while driving customer retention.
  • Effectively manage and market supporter community initiatives and events on the campus of Dignity Health Sports Park and in the greater Los Angeles market. Serve as the operational liaison for the fan engagement team and the facility.
  • Work collectively with the LA Galaxy ticket sales and service team to foster current relationships and develop new sales opportunities.
Required Qualifications:


  • A minimum education level of: BA/BS Degree (4-year)    
  • A minimum of 3 years of related experience in sports and entertainment preferred
  • Proven experience working in Game Entertainment, Game Operations, or Ticketing with specific experience in working with large external groups of customers
  • Strong customer service background with the ability to multi-task, meet tight timelines, and work effectively in a high pressure and fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, highly organized, and resourceful with great attention to details
  • Proactive with the ability to work independently without the need for immediate supervision.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize workload efficiently and quickly
  • Must have a strong command of reasoned, measured decision-making based upon analyzing the pros and cons of each potential decision to be made
  • Ability to professionally handle highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Must be creative, idea-oriented, and thrive in a collaborative team-based environment
  • Must be technically proficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel) with the ability to learn required business systems
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to professionally communicate and interact with all levels of management, staff, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and cultivate relationships
  • Experience with a professional sports team is preferred
  • Knowledge of soccer and MLS is preferred
  • Spanish language proficiency (verbal) preferred
