Event Management: Event Operations/Management
Overview:
The Atlanta Motor Speedway Events Coordinator is responsible for a multitude of logistical elements and services for events hosted, promoted, or owned by the company. This position will work with all departments to fulfill our mission of:

Event related responsibilities: 
  • Plan, schedule and serve as the main point of contact (POC) for the following:
    • Gate Entry 
      • Mobile ticket scanning
      • Security screening (bag checks & walk-through metal detectors)
      • Update and distribute guest permitted & prohibited item lists
    • Parking
      • Recruit/train staff within reserved and free parking lots
      • Crosswalks guard program
      • Develop staffing and auditing plans for “paid” parking events 
    • Perimeter Road Security
      • Hire team to check vehicle credentials and restrict perimeter road access
      • Create and distribute credential boards to each post
    • Traffic
      • Coordinate ingress and egress plans with law enforcement agencies
      • Order traffic delineation devices
      • Integrate AMS traffic plans with map applications (i.e., Waze) and rideshare platforms
  • Prepare dot maps and order services for event equipment (light towers, generators, portable toilets)
  • Supporting roles for Legends and Bandolero car events and various facility rentals
  • Plan, order, maintain, deploy, and inventory event signage (printed and digital)
Day-to-Day Department Roles:
  • Generate department purchase orders as it relates to direct responsibilities
  • Recruit groups and individuals to join NASCAR weekend and yearly “event staff”
  • Develop, execute, share and/or improve best practices amongst teammates
  • Assist in the creation of all required documentation for facility and staff (i.e., employee handbook, A to Z guide, credential boards, maps, etc.)
  •  Support Events Manager with deployment schedules and administrative functions for law enforcement agencies and security
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by Director of Events & Events Manager
