JOB SUMMARY: Higgins Powersports is looking to fill an open position for a Sales Associate

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ensure customer satisfaction through professional consulting to customers as you help them achieve the experience that they desire.
Attend company on-sight and off-sight training sessions as managed by the owners
Become proficient about Customer to Client Sales, merchandise, current brand programs, have appropriate knowledge on the technical part of the business; i.e. service of machines, local and state operating laws, customer service, computer systems, administrative functions and credit terms
Develop an understanding of powersports vehicles, ATVs, UTVs, and motorcycles by studying characteristics, capabilities, and features between models
Ensure the Higgins Powersports approved sales process is used with every sales opportunity
Assist customers with product and services sold at the dealership in order to present features and benefits to customers
Develop an understanding of powersports vehicles brands including Polaris RZR, Polaris General and Polaris Ranger, etc.
Demonstrate powersports vehicles including ATVs, UTVs, and personal watercraft by explaining characteristics, capabilities, features, warranties, service; taking demo rides
Project positive image to customers always
Assist in setting up the sales lot or showroom floor
Correctly log names and numbers of customers encountered at the store daily
Close sales by overcoming objections; asking for sales; negotiating price; completing sales or purchase contracts; explaining provisions; explaining and offering warranties, services, and financing.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

Current product knowledge and an understanding of powersports
Dependable & on time
Become familiar with company website and other internet-based products used to promote.
Be knowledgeable on current promotions and adhere to guidelines
Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the company
Able to work overtime as needed
Be knowledgeable on current promotions and adhere to guidelines
Ability to work with minimal supervisor.
Work well with other staff
Maintain organized, clean and safe work area.
Attention to detail ad ability to multitask are a must.
