DIVISION SERVICES 3 COORDINATOR
Based at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park
This position will report to the North Central Division 3 Director. Under the direction of the Division Director, primary responsibilities include assisting in processing all Division's new and renewal race licenses, assisting racers in navigating the rulebook in regard to technical questions or directing them to NHRA Tech Support, coordinating the Divisional events for all Series and Track Operator meetings and Annual Awards Banquet. In addition, the qualified candidate will assist in budget planning and maintenance in regards to events and general Division and accounting procedures for the Division; maintain open communications and correspondence with all Division member tracks regarding license procedures, program outlines, Division website updates and articles and handle general inquires. Other duties include the setup of live streaming equipment (including cabling, cameras and control board), maintaining and transporting the Division safety truck and trailer from event to event (CDL required) and supervise the field staff when needed.
Additional responsibilities include assisting member tracks and Division office in better promotion of individual events and increasing overall awareness of NHRA benefits to both racers and the community. Continue to service and sell Divisional promotional programs and sponsorships and expand programs into areas or categories where they do not currently exist. There will be some administrative and clerical responsibilities as well.
The qualified candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years related experience; Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Candidate must also have basic knowledge of word and excel based computer programs. Experience with timing and scoring systems used in Drag Racing is also required. The candidate must have the ability to work independently with minimum supervision; be a strong communicator and proven decision maker with the proven ability to maintain a calm professional demeanor during crisis situations. Any qualified candidate must be able to obtain the required CDL to drive the Division truck and trailer as previously mentioned. A CDL driver license and medical card is required. Prior supervisory experience is preferred. A team player attitude and excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required. This position will be based at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.
This position will require a minimum of 50% travel and the candidate must be able to maintain non-traditional hours, as needed, to include evenings and weekend hours. “Days off” will remain flexible given the division race schedule each week.
