Headquartered in the Greater Los Angeles area, NHRA is the primary sanctioning body for the sport of drag racing in the United States. NHRA presents national events featuring the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, Pro Mod Drag Racing Series, Constant Aviation Factory Stock Showdown and Top Fuel Harley Series. NHRA provides competition opportunities for drivers of all levels in the NHRA Summit Racing Series and the NHRA Drags: Street Legal Style. Event Management: Competition Management
NORTHEAST DIVISION DIRECTOR
Full Time Position
 This position requires a strong leader with proven communication skills to lead all operational aspects of regional and divisional sportsman racing events.  This includes working closely with our member tracks and racers to develop marketing programs that enhance the racing experience, coordination with track operators and staff, handling media for the events, negotiation of event/sponsor contracts, staff supervision, implementation of racing safety and technical standards, and office management.  
 
The qualified candidate will preferably possess a bachelor’s degree in sports marketing, sports administration, or facility management;  a minimum of 5 years related experience with an emphasis on event marketing, supervisory experience, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.  In addition, experience in budgeting, P&L, sales forecasting, and light accounting is required.  A background in racing operations is a plus.  This position must be based in the northeast region of the U.S.  and requires travel.
