NASCAR Event Management seeks a skilled professional to join the position of Director, Technical Inspection, NASCAR Cup Series.

The primary responsibility for this position is to provide high-level expertise, guidance, and oversight in all areas of the technical inspection process for the NASCAR Cup Series.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for forward thinking and strategic direction in all areas of technical inspection.

  • Provide high-level oversight in the implementation and application of the appropriate rules as it pertains to the garage area and the vehicle.

  • Manage all technical inspection processes, concerns, rules, issues, and procedural concerns and report such to the Managing Director in a timely manner.

  • Responsible for assuring that the technical inspectors use the issued NASCAR Mobile Inspection Tablet.

  • Handle complex issues appropriately in garage and pit areas.

  • Maintain strong working relationships with race teams and within the company, particularly in the Competition and Research & Development Departments.

  • Focus on improving employee engagement among the Technical Inspectors.

  • Research and implement best practices from other forms of motorsports.

Approximate travel 90%

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; and fifteen years of industry-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Customer service and people skills

  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in various computer applications
