IOWA SPEEDWAY

Located near Des Moines, Iowa Speedway joined the NASCAR family of tracks in 2013. Known as the "Fastest Short Track on the Planet", Iowa Speedway plays host to two major race weekends a year, welcoming the ARCA Menards Series and the NTT INDYCAR Series. The track was designed by NASCAR Hall of Famer Rusty Wallace.

This is an event-based position, shifts and hours will vary based on Iowa Speedway's event needs.

Assist with operational tasks in the credentialing office during event weekends: July 2023
Aid in set-up and tear-down of the credentials office for each event
Verify identification and issue credentials to guests of the Speedway and event sponsors
Checking in/checking out event staff and issuing appropriate attire and equipment, ensuring equipment is returned in a proper manor
Ensure employee time coding is correct in Workday Program

Qualified candidate must maintain a positive attitude at all times, must be able to pay close attention to detail, must be flexible to fill in where needed and work in a fast-paced environment. Must be flexible to work event weekends.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma / GED

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common industry and technical journals. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from staff members. Ability to write correspondence and ability to effectively present information.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proficient skills on all company provided hardware and software. The ability to type efficiently is a necessity.

OTHER SKILLS

Attention to detail, customer service, analytical, and communication.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
