Facility Operations/Event Staff: Event Guest Relations
The Guest Services Coordinator/Manager - Venue will be responsible for overseeing the Venue Fan Crew, ensuring that Daytona International Speedway delivers our guests the best experience in sports for all events.  This position will report directly to the Director, Guest Services. The ideal candidate is goal-oriented, self-starter that works well in a fast-paced department environment, and possesses strong customer service, organizational and multi-tasking skills. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and supervision to the following direct reports:
    • Venue Crew Chief
    • Venue Fan Crew Supervisors, Crew Leads, Fan Crew and G.I.V.E.S. groups
    • Wardrobe Supervisor & Fan Crew
  • Work with the Hospitality department on non-major events that take place in the stadium 
    • Staff events with Fan Crew, as requested
    • Provide ongoing feedback and suggestions where appropriate
  • Work with the Stadium Operations department on issues that arise during and after events
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure we are delivering a great guest experience:
    • Americrown Service Corporation
    • Information Technology
    • DIS Sales & Marketing
    • DIS Security
    • DIS Operations
    • DIS Emergency Services
  • Learn and be familiar with ADA guidelines
  • Review and respond to Guest comments and communication for areas of responsibility
  • Participate in annual budget process and ongoing monthly review of expenses for areas of responsibility with the Director.
  • Exhibit fiscally responsible decision making within the department, emphasizing cost savings and efficiencies while maintaining appropriate levels of service to guests
  • Prepare Event Summaries after all major events and review with Director, Guest Services
  • Assist with recruiting and hiring Fan Crew throughout the year
  • Prepare and present training to event staff in areas of responsibility
  • Utilize the ABIMM System for all scheduling and payroll processing for seasonal and event staff
  • Supervise and provide instruction to Guest Services Intern(s) as required by Director
  • Others duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required preferably in sports management, event management, marketing or related field
  • Proven employee management experience with event day staff
  • Proficient computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Excellent communication, presentation and time management skills
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as
