The Digital Media Producer will create innovative, high-quality content for the IndyCar Series.  The position requires a skill set able to plan shoots, shoot and edit content for both quick turn and long term timelines and build and apply graphics in a way that can be optimized for social and other digital channels.

The position reports to the Director of Digital Media and will contribute to the overall INDYCAR digital strategy and content plan; working in partnership with other members of the INDYCAR Marketing and Communications team.  Additionally, this position will contribute to the development and execution of the broader Marketing Communications plan; contributing special expertise in content creation and storytelling.

  • Partner with the extended Marketing Communications team to develop content plans; contribute creative concepts to meet the objectives and goals of on-going campaigns, content pillars/franchises, series announcements, and other needed executions.
  • Support Director Digital Media and Editorial Manager to identify, develop and create content franchises to bring the personalities of drivers to life, thru INDYCAR’s brand voice and visual identity.
  • Work closely with the Editorial manager to build compelling video content that can tell a story and/or creative additive video content to support written content.
  • Collaborate with INDYCAR Art Director and Social Strategist to create custom visual graphics to be used in INDYCAR custom content; utilizing industry best practices to drive engagement
  • Build relationships with IMSP colleagues to leverage their expertise and ensure best in class execution of all video/digital content.
  • Register, tag and archive all content captured in the IMSP managed INDYCAR library for future use by both INDYCAR, IMS and IMSP teams.
  • Execute additional video and graphics projects as assigned by Marketing and Communications departments.
  • Advance skill set and utilize evolving programs, tools and other sources to improve abilities.
  • When requested, able to travel to IndyCar Series races and other off-site shoots, appearances and events as defined by Marketing and Communications departments.

  • Associates degree in Digital Media Production or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years minimum experience in sports marketing, design or video production.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.) and Final Cut Pro.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, comfort with ambiguity, ability to manage change and balance competing/evovlving priorities.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment and on short deadlines.

Travel/Work Hours
  • This job requires travel to IndyCar Series events. When not traveling, there will be weekend and holiday work when race events are held.
  • Flexibility of work schedule is key to support the Marketing and Communications staff as required.
