Facility Operations/Event Staff: Game Day/Event Staff
The set-up crew is a part of the Client Services team who specifically focuses on set-up and tear down of hospitality event venues at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway during our event season. The position is specifically needed from the dates of September 3 - September 12.

  • Assist with moving all furniture between different venues during events.
  • Set up crew will be responsible for completing daily set-up and tear down tasks as assigned.
  • Set up crew will work on the grounds during events.
  • With the Director of Client Services and Client Services team, help provide support for all IMS activities.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university is preferred.

Travel/Work Hours:
  • No travel.
  • Required ability to work evenings and weekends during event season. Main work hours will be: 
    • Sept 3-12
  • Candidate must be able to work overtime and event weekends as needed.

The physical demands described here must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job:
  • The employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. 
  • The position involves walking, climbing stairs, and standing for long periods of time throughout the day.
  • The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds.

  • The employee will frequently work outdoors, which requires physical strength and stamina to endure extreme heat, cold, rain and other conditions.
