We are seeking candidates in Sydney, Australia. Melbourne will also be considered.

About the role:
The Global Partnerships Manager will support the Global Partnerships team in both sponsorship sales and sponsorship activation by developing and implementing strategies for new and existing sponsorship business across Australia and New Zealand. This newly created role will support current partners and the commercial growth of UFC in the region.

As Global Partnerships Manager this position requires developing key relationships with existing and new potential partners in the region, regular communication to support ongoing sales discussions and converting commercial opportunities into outcomes for UFC.

The successful applicant will be required to offer exceptional client service to handle the execution of sponsorship deliverables, providing a strategic framework for partners to best meet their objectives through the platform of UFC.

Key responsibilities:
  • Drives revenue growth through the creation of new saleable assets, identification of sales targets and development of sales strategies together with the Vice President, Global Partnerships.
  • Achieves annual sales goals determined by UFC global partnership team management.
  • Prospects and develops new business, including cold-calling and networking. 
  • Negotiates and closes new business across all UFC Australia and New Zealand assets. 
  • Provides exceptional client service to deliver contracted sponsorship deliverables, support marketing objectives, drive business results and build strong relationships.
  • Identifies, pursues, and executes upsell and new sponsorship opportunities.
  • Supports sponsor renewal processes. 
  • Collaborates across departments (operations, production, licensing, digital, athlete relations, etc) for partners approvals.
  • Tracks all assets, produces recaps and reports via Account Plan along with regular internal reporting to the UFC international management team.
  • Manages the UFC sales CRM in Australia and New Zealand.

About you:
You will have 5+ years’ experience in sales, client servicing, marketing and/or sponsorship. You are results oriented with outstanding relationship building skills. You are a skilled communicator with clients and colleagues in presentations, meetings, on emails and over the phone. You have a strong network across the Australian and New Zealand commercial landscape. You are a problem solver able to analyse risks, manage issues and find solutions in a timely and professional manner. For this role you will need to be able to increase UFC portfolio by identifying business opportunities and bringing creativity to commercial discussions. You will be able to travel domestically and internationally.
