The UFC, owned and operated by Zuffa, LLC, has offices in United States, London, Toronto, Singapore. Sao Paulo, Shanghai and soon Mexico City.

Position Summary:
Aligned with the overall strategy of the UFC and the UFC Performance Institute (UFCPI) the Director, Operations will lead all operational aspects within the UFCPI – Mexico City. This role will work closely with the VP, Operations - UFCPI to develop Mexico’s leading training institution in terms of performance, welfare, and research into MMA and combat sports.  Alineados con la estrategia en general de la UFC y el Instituto de Rendimiento de la UFC (UFC PI) el Director, Operaciones será el que lidere todos los aspectos operacionales dentro del UFC PI – Ciudad de
México. Este puesto trabajará estrechamente con el VP, Operaciones para desarrollar la institución líder de entrenamiento de la Ciudad de México en términos de rendimiento, bienestar, e investigación dentro de las AMM (MMA) y los deportes de combate.

Responsibilities:
  • Assumes a leadership role of the UFCPI – Mexico City.
Asumir un papel de liderazgo del UFC PI – Ciudad de México.
  • Develops third-party consultant relationships. Forms strategic partnerships with industry leaders in operations, business operations, strategy and commercial.
Desarrollar relaciones de consultoría con terceros. Formar alianzas estratégicas con líderes de la industria en operaciones, operaciones de negocios, estrategia y comerciales.
  • Develops and implements support systems to aid in athlete and coach training logistics moving in and out of the facility.
Desarrollar e implementar sistemas de apoyo para asistir en la logística de entrenamiento de atletas y entrenadores, saliendo y entrando de las instalaciones.
  • Cultivates relationships with local athletes, coaches, and gyms.
Cultivar relaciones con los atletas, entrenadores, y gimnasios locales.
  • Works with Academy athletes in their all-round development.
Trabaja con atletas de la Academia en su desarrollo integral.             
  • Establishes operational protocols.
Establecer protocolos operacionales.
  • Establishes agreed-upon operational and utilization metric targets.
Establecer objetivos previamente acordados de operación y utilización con tangentes métricos.
  • Performs on-going training with athletes, coaches, and UFCPI staff members to ensure continued professional development and adherence to professional codes of conduct.
Realizar entrenamiento continuo con atletas, entrenadores, y miembros del equipo de UFC PI para asegurar el desarrollo profesional continuo y la adherencia a los códigos de conducta profesionales.
  • Performs other tasks, projects, and responsibilities to establish a world-class performance facility.

Skills & Experience:
  • Graduate Degree in business, administration, operations or a related field. 
Titulo Post Grado en negocios, administración, operaciones o campos relacionados.
  • 5+ years of high-level management experience in event, sport or facility operations and/or administration.
+ de 5 años de experiencia en administración de alto nivel en operaciones de eventos, deportes o instalaciones y/o administración.
  • Previous experience leading an operational staff in a high paced environment.
Experiencia previa en el liderazgo de personal operacional en un ambiente de paso rápido.
  • Personal or professional experience in sport is preferred, but not required.
Experiencia personal o profesional en deportes es preferida, más no requerida.
  • Understanding of MMA (i.e. the sport, local athletes/coaches/gyms, local culture.) preferred.
Comprensión de las AMM (p.ej. el deporte, atletas/gimnasios/entrenadores locales, cultura local.) preferida.
  • Experience in budget and inventory management required.
Experiencia en administración de inventario y presupuesto requerida.
  • Experience in business operations and logistics required. 
Experiencia en operaciones de negocios y logística requerida.
