Building multiple augmented-reality and interactive products--under tight timelines (days or weeks)--for sports teams, for use by thousands of fans during games and high-profile sports events (Draft, Championship, Playoffs).

The ideal candidate for this role is a problem solver with strong programming skills, a strong work ethic, and a strong grasp of C# and Unity. As an AR/VR Developer, you will need to design and build mobile games, mobile AR (augmented reality) experiences, and other interactive experiences, and then use your skills and abilities to implement and enhance our family of mobile sports apps. The ideal candidate is capable of working on multiple Unity development projects simultaneously, to deliver quickly (days or weeks), and to be able to hit the ground running.

As an AR/VR in Unity Developer,
  • You will be working to develop and prototype native games and interactive experiences in Unity for iOS and Android apps for sports teams.
  • You will be participating in the complete product life-cycle, including concept, requirements, design, build, deploy, test, and release to the App Store.
  • You will work closely with the UI/UX and Backend teams in implementing various interactive features in our apps.
  • You will be responsible for writing high-quality code and using good programming practices in implementing various features and products.
  • You will be responsible for resolving bugs in your code.
  • You will be responsible for supporting the products that you build, during the time of peak usage (e.g., games).

  • In your job application, please share the details of a recent Unity project that you were involved in, preferably one that is in production.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Expertise in working as a Unity or Unity3D Developer.
  • Expertise in C# and Unreal game development.
  • Experience with game development and integrated game physics.
  • Experience with optimizing code for memory and space.
  • Experience with scripting, animation, textures, session management, GUI styles, etc.
  • Experience with mobile and console game development.
  • Experience with consuming backend APIs and familiarity with JSON, REST and XML.
  • Experience using Git for version control.
  • Experience working with web frameworks and/or JavaScript libraries such as React and Three.js.
  • Experience in creating immersive AR/VR experiences.
  • Willingness and ability to work the non-traditional hours of the sports industry.
  • NICE TO HAVE: Experience in building native iOS and Android apps.
  • NICE TO HAVE: Experience with UI/UX design, including the use of Sketch, Invision, and other design tools.
  • NICE TO HAVE: Familiarity with computer-vision algorithms and techniques.
  • NICE TO HAVE: Advanced rendering/Shader/OpenGL/WebGL experience.
  • NICE TO HAVE: Machine Learning/Computer Vision experience.
  • NICE TO HAVE: Shipped at least one Unity game on mobile platforms.
  • NICE TO HAVE: Experience in cross platform mobile app frameworks such as React Native, Flutter, Xamarin.

  • IPTV platforms, such as those at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta Falcons/United), the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse (Cleveland Cavaliers), the Banc of California Stadium (LAFC), and Kyle Field (Texas A&M).
