The Program at D-BAT Cedar Park is currently seeking applicants for a Strength & Conditioning Specialist to help lead our athlete performance programs. This role is responsible for designing and delivering high-quality, sport-specific training for athletes across multiple sports. The ideal candidate is passionate about athlete development, injury prevention, and providing an exceptional training experience.
Primary Responsibilities
The Strength & Conditioning Specialist will be expected to:
- Lead and supervise sport-specific training sessions for athletes of all ages and sports.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for all clients and build individualized training programs based on their goals, needs, and sport requirements.
- Develop and implement both long- and short-term performance plans for individuals and teams.
- Provide clear, motivating, and well-timed coaching cues to ensure proper technique and maximize athlete performance.
- Organize and manage training sessions, including pacing, transitions, and group flow.
- Track athlete progress, celebrate achievements, and communicate results with athletes, parents, and coaches.
- Attend local athlete events (showcases, competitions, etc.) when applicable.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe training environment and weight room.
- Support and promote the mission, vision, and purpose of The Program and D-BAT Cedar Park.
- Contribute to membership growth, personal training engagement, and client retention through high-quality coaching and customer service.
- Complete daily and weekly responsibilities accurately and on time.
- Adhere to policies and procedures to ensure the safety of clients and staff.
- Manage scheduling, organization, and time effectively.
Qualifications
- Passionate about helping athletes grow, improving the community, and delivering an unmatched training experience.
- NCCA Certified Personal Trainer (required or currently in progress).
- Interest in pursuing a CSCS or another nationally accredited certification.
- Sport-specific knowledge in one or more areas (e.g., baseball, softball, football, basketball, volleyball, track, lacrosse, tennis, cheer, hockey, etc.).
- Positive energy with strong multitasking abilities and comfort leading small group performance environments.
- Experience working directly with clients while delivering an exceptional training experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to coaching detail and instruction that drives results.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective time management and follow-through skills.
- 3+ years of experience in a gym or weight room operations setting preferred.
