Reporting to the General Manager of Space Coast Complex, responsible for development, sales, and execution of Central Florida Spring Training, a High School and College Spring Training program for baseball and fast pitch softball.  

Essential Duties:
  • Develop, sell, schedule and execute Spring Training Baseball and Fast Pitch programs to high schools and colleges around the nation.
  • Create partnerships integral to the success of Spring Training to include sponsors, umpires, scorers, equipment providers, travel liaison, and all internal departments.
  • Market, sell, and contract Spring Training Baseball and Fast Pitch softball programs to coaches, athletic conferences and athletic directors of high schools and colleges. 
  • Attend coaches’ clinics, conventions, and trade shows during the year to market the facility and programs.
  • Develop program and fulfill packages to market to target customer that would be appealing to the target audience from a cost and participation perspective. 
  • Work with internal departments to market programs on the website, with travel partners, and to distribute materials to other marketing outlets.
  • Communicate with internal departments in regards to master calendar scheduling, operations personnel to ensure facility is ready for participants and guests. 
  • Answers questions from coaches, players, parents, and others in regards to program offerings.  
  • Responsible for creation of team schedules and master schedule for Spring Training event.  
  • Consistent communication with teams to ensure timelines are met, and positive experiences are created.
  • Duties performed are seasonal in that during some month of the year selling is the primary duty. Other months it is the coordinating of the actual events in terms of day of scheduling for all teams on the 15 fields at the complex.  
  • Acts as a Duty Manager for facility as needed during peak times
  • High school degree.  Bachelor’s in Sports Management or related field preferred. 
  • Minimum of 3 years in sales and / or event management
  • Minimum of 3 years in working with high school and/or college athletic programs specializing in baseball and softball. 
  • Must have first-hand knowledge of how to create and market programs to develop youth athletes for high school and college competition as well as beyond the amateur programs. 
  • Must know how to create tournament and multi-field, scheduling of games with multiple teams over several days. 
Physical Requirements
  • Must be willing travel as needed throughout the year
  • Must be willing to work at unique times including evenings and weekends
  • Must be able to withstand long periods of being outside during all seasons of the year, especially the heat during the Spring and Summer months.
