Support the mission of Uncommon Sports Group by providing strategic planning, direction, and implementation of all recruitment and engagement strategies of the USG programs in order to make disciples of Jesus Christ and transform the sport industry for God’s glory. 



Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement ministry strategies for recruiting, engaging, and developing future leaders of the sport industry. 
  • Create, schedule, and implement consistent and cohesive plans between the organization’s program activities and marketing platforms. 
  • Manage and maintain long-lasting relationships with students, coaches, leaders, donors, and any other individual involved with the organization. 
  • Collaborate with the Director of Programs in order to create innovative and creative programs to best accomplish the mission and vision of the organization. 
  • Manage and lead the Clean Out For A Cause program and it’s donors throughout the collegiate and professional sport industry. 
  • Assess current industry and cultural trends in order to best support and steward the resources and relationships of the organization.
  • Clearly communicate the mission and vision of USG through the development of social media and other marketing strategies and partnerships.  
  • Provide expertise and direction in data organization and software usage, including: Salesforce, Asana, Hivebrite, and Canvas. 
  • Evaluate, identify, and develop best communication practices through newsletters, mailouts, and other forms of communication. 
  • Help lead program initiatives, including summer mission trips, bible studies, virtual events, and conferences throughout the calendar year. 
  • Provide direction and support to participants going through the USG Training Experience and Weekend Gathering. 

Requirements:
  • Proficiency in computer technology and web-based applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Background in the collegiate or professional sport industry
  • Exhibits a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Ability to manage and lead a team of individuals
  • Relocation to Minneapolis, Minnesota 

Preferred Qualifications:  
  • Self-starter and team player that is loyal to the vision and mission of the ministry
  • Practices personal spiritual disciplines and leads with humility, character, and love
  • 3+ years of experience in student leadership and discipleship
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic planning, engagement, and/or marketing
  • Ability to multitask with a high attention to detail
